Once again, leading recruitment magazine Recruitment International has published their Top 500 report and once again, it shows that 7 of the top 10 UK recruitment agencies are choosing ISV for their candidate testing. The Top 500 Report is produced every year and gives a comprehensive look at the recruitment industry, including the major players nationally, broken down by turnover, size by number of employees and most profitable business. Plus, there is a breakdown by sector and a look at the global recruitment market. This is the 20th annual industry report published by Recruitment International. The report is used by government bodies, trade associations, analysts and of course recruiters and industry suppliers. Key Points Here are some of the key points in the report: Recruitment is a huge global industry with a CIETT report estimating there are more than 260,000 recruitment businesses worldwide, between them employing around 1.7 million people. – The industry is maturing to offer a broader spectrum of HR and recruiting services, diversifying to offer job boards, RPO, consulting and the like. As a result, more people are using or working through an HR or recruitment company. India leads the way here globally, followed by the US, China and the UK in 4th place. Looking at revenue, the UK jumps to 3rd place globally behind the US and Japan. In the UK the recruitment industry continues to grow year on year. More UK recruitment companies achieved the milestone of £100m in billing, with 63 businesses hitting this mark, which is more than ever before.- Total revenue generated by the 500 largest UK Recruiters was up 10% compared to the previous year. There are more agencies around than before. RI estimates the number at around 8000, the highest in 10 years. Total number of recruitment offices in the UK has reached over 4,400.
