It was a night of glamour, entertainment, winners and (mostly!) gracious runners-up. Yes, this month saw the annual event that is the iconic Recruiter Awards and ISV were there to celebrate. The awards, run by Recruiter magazine, bring together the great and good of recruitment. In-house recruiters, suppliers to the industry and recruitment consultants and agencies descend on London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, in their best evening dress to enjoy a night of celebration, keeping everything crossed that they get to take home a gong. Pulling out all the stops This year was no different as more than 1000 recruiters and friends gathered to network, party and generally do what recruiters do best (we’ll let you decide exactly what that is!) DeeDee Doke and her team from Recruiter once again pulled out all the stops. We were treated to a dazzling display of circus style acrobatics with an amazing light show. The booming voiceover and giant screens announced the start of festivities. It was set up to be a fantastic evening. Drinks flowed and the food was delicious, ISV and sister company Voyager Software could have easily managed several of the lemon and strawberry cheesecake desserts. Then it was the turn of eccentric funny man Milton Jones (comedian and panel show regular) to entertain us and he certainly delivered. After the laughs it was down to the serious and no small task of announcing the 30 or so award winners. A great success Huge congratulations to ISV’s clients who were shortlisted and especially those who took home awards including: ISE Partners, part of the Pertemps’ family, for Best Candidate Care Gap Personnel for Most Effective Compliance Operation (perhaps they’ve used our GDPR and Cyber Security test) Guidant Group for Most Effective Recruitment Marketing Campaign ISV’s parent company were shortlisted for Technology Innovation of the Year for their product, GatedTalent. It was perhaps a few months too early for this sophisticated search tool for senior executives to walk home with the title. Next year, Recruiter Awards, next year. After the awards it was time for celebrating and dancing. The least said about the #Recruiteroke (recruitment’s answer to karaoke) the better. It’s fair to say there were probably a lot of sore heads, vocal chords and feet amongst the recruitment industry the next day. It was fantastic to celebrate the achievements of the recruitment industry with our friends across the group, from TEAM, fellow suppliers Boomerang Funding, Meridian Business Support and of course, Recruiter.
